With Helix's solid axle front end kits, you get the same geometrically correct setup but with brand new tooling and a cleaner manufacturing process for a much higher show-quality appearance and performance.

The Helix Basic Solid Axle Kit converts or replaces the original front suspension on a 1928-1931 Ford Model A with a traditional 4-inch dropped drilled beam axle and a modern 4-link suspension system. The kit is engineered to improve suspension geometry, steering stability, and ride quality while maintaining the timeless appearance of a classic straight axle front end.

The included 4-link suspension offers more precise axle location than the original wishbone setup, reducing unwanted axle movement while providing improved handling and braking stability. The drilled 4-inch dropped axle lowers the vehicle stance while preserving suspension travel, making it ideal for traditional hot rods, street rods, and custom Model A builds.

Supplied in a raw steel finish, this basic kit allows builders to customize the final appearance with paint, powder coating, or plating to match their project.
